The Stanley Cup Finals have begun. The Oilers might be unveiling a new coach. The NHL Scouting combine is this weekend. There’s so much happening, I can hardly contain myself.

Tuesday morning is here. Let’s get at it.

  • How long did it take the Boston Bruins to shake off any rust from a ten day layoff? A little more than one period. The Blues got off to an early lead when Brayden Schenn scored seven minutes into the first. Vladimir Tarasenko made it 2-0 early in the second period, but the Bruins would score four unanswered goals to take game one of the Stanley Cup Finals. (Stanley Cup of Chowder)
  • Oh my God, are the Oilers finally going to hire Dave Tippett today? (Oilers Nation)
  • Some free agent names that the Oilers could pursue if Dave Tippett becomes Edmonton’s next head coach (Lowetide)
