Hi everyone, I wasn’t able to slap the Hot Links together, but the NHL has been pretty busy this morning.
First, the biggest trade so far. Matt Duchene is going to the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for middling prospects and at least one first round pick.
Believe the full trade is: Abramov, Davidsson and a 1st RD pick for Duchene and Bergman. And a conditional 1st RD pick if Matt Duchene signs with Columbus— Pierre LeBrun (@PierreVLeBrun) February 22, 2019
If CBJ do not make the 2019 playoffs, and their pick ends up as a top 3 selection in this years draft, Ottawa will receive a 2020 1st RD pick instead.— CapFriendly (@CapFriendly) February 22, 2019
If Duchene re-signs with CBJ, and the 2019 pick is a top 3 selection, then OTT will receive Columbus' 2020 & 2021 1st RD picks. https://t.co/hIHeQXLctq
Then, the Panthers got Vincent Praplan from the Sharks for some future considerations.

Then, the Redwings send Nick Jensen to the Washington Capitals is exchange for way too much. They got themselves a 2nd, and Madison Bowey for Jenses, a middling pending UFA, and a 5th. The Caps overpaid quite a bit in my eyes here.
Per @DarrenDreger #RedWings trade Jensen to #ALLCAPSfor Bowey & 2020 2nd.— PuckPedia (@PuckPedia) February 22, 2019

And in some Edmonton Oilers related news, Jesse Puljujarvi and his agent Markus Lehto are getting a second opinion on his fake injury after Keith Gretzky had decided that it’s long-term.
Hitchcock refereed to Puljujarvi injury as long term but didn’t have any more details today.— Ryan Rishaug (@TSNRyanRishaug) February 22, 2019
K.Gretzky says Puljujarvi and agent Markus Lehto seeking 2nd opinion on lower body injury.— Mark Spector (@SportsnetSpec) February 22, 2019
Lehto confirms, and that, if surgery is required, it will "more than likely" mark end of Puljujarvi's season.
So, enjoy that, and use the comment section.
