GAME THREAD: Edmonton Oilers vs. Pittsburgh Penguins

The Oilers need a few wins right about now, and tonight seems as good a place as any to try and get a little stew goin’.

Edmonton lost to a better, deeper, and more facially hairy squad in St. Louis last time out. The Penguins are doing what they do, humming along to the tune of three straight wins coming in, posting twenty of them so far this year despite being without luminary Sidney Crosby for half of their games and counting.

Mike Smith gets the nod for the home team tonight in the first of two in two nights for his club, and will be looking to find a bit of form after dipping below 0.900 SV% recently. He was phenomenal in the reverse fixture, but that was quite a few pulls ago.

Pittsburgh is without Crosby, Justin Schultz and Stefan Noesen tonight, while Edmonton’s Matt Benning continues to miss out with a head injury.
