Morning, folks!

There’s something in the air this morning — I think it’s Axe body spray — as legendary County Cooker Taylor Hall is back in town with his new club to take on his old one tonight.

The Devils will be playing their second in two nights after having their show run by the Calgary Flames last night to the tune of 5-2.

The Oilers are looking to rebound after a defeat at the hands of the St. Louis Blues with an eye toward their second regulation win in 10 games.

Lineup changes include the returns of Josh Archibald and Riley Sheahan to the fold, so keep your eyes peeled for lineup information as we’ll have a slightly different look up front this evening. Tomas Jurco and Colby Cave were waived and assigned to Bakersfield respectively to make room.

One has to wonder if Joel Persson draws back in for Brandon Manning tonight, too, after his first healthy scratch of his young career.

With Hall back in town, of course there are discussions about whether that could be a permanent thing next season.

The officials of the NHL are ruining the NHL.

Lost in all the doom and gloom that accompanies one regulation win in nine games, the Oilers’ second line — including the snake-bitten Ryan Nugent-Hopkins — has been more effective than you might think.

Get yourselves acquainted with today’s narratives and swing it back later for our typical GAMEDAY routine. See you then, or we’ll see you on another time. Peace out, Jobin.
