Afternoon for some, I’m sure.
Another day off in what has been a sparse week of action for the Oilers. That changes tomorrow as they play host to Vancouver in the first half of a home-and-home series on Friday before heading West for the return leg on Sunday.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins underwent a ‘minor procedure’ on his hand and won’t be available for the weekend’s action, but he could return next week.
The Oilers are in an excellent position come the unofficial landmark of US Thanksgiving.
Adam Larsson received a major and a game last time out, and was originally reported to have a hearing with the NHL’s DPoS, but as of last night that doesn’t appear to be the case.
Ken Holland sat down with The Athletic to talk Jesse Puljujarvi in advance of the December 1 RFA signing deadline.
Given their position at this stage of the season, it might be time for the Oilers to look at who to add to their current group to take a real shot after their excellent start. Starts like these don’t come around that often and it might behoove Holland to open ‘his’ window before he’d planned to given the team’s results so far this year.
Get yourselves read, get yourselves fed, and get back here for tomorrow’s GAMEDAY coverage. Til then.
