Tonight’s Oilers / Avalanche Lines

Caleb Jones makes his season debut for the Oilers against the Avalanche tonight

YEEHAW, we’re back.

Let’s take a look at those lines for tonight’s Oilers/Avalanche tilt.

  • Caleb Jones was recalled yesterday, and he’s been gingerly placed onto the second pair. Kris Russell will play 3LD, while Joel Persson will be the healthy scratch tonight.
  • Mike Smith yielded six in Edmonton’s 6-3 loss to the Sharks on Tuesday. You’d think it might be time to toss Koskinen back out there, but Tippett is riding Smith in hopes of a bounceback effort.
  • Gaetan Haas is back tonight. Haas was a healthy scratch last game, but has scored two goals in his last three games played.
  • Up top, Josh Archibald gets some time with Nugent-Hopkins and James Neal.
