Oilers look for two in a row after thrilling overtime comeback victory over Washington.

LINES

THREE THINGS TO LOOK FOR

  • The Oilers will need to find a way to shut down the Panthers’ goal scorers. Led by Aleksander Barkov (0-12-12) and Jonathan Huberdeau (5-7-12), Florida is averaging 4.6 goals in their last five games (3-0-2).
  • Edmonton is still waiting on some secondary goal support. Gaetan Haas was recalled for Josh Archibald, who will be out up to a month with a fracture in his foot. I’ve got a dollar on Sam Gagner being the first bottom six Oiler to break the ice. We wait.
  • Mikko Koskinen is all but unstoppable for the moment. He’s sporting a perfect record at 5-0-0 with a sparkly .927 SV%, but it’s Mike Smith (3-2-1, .925 SV% / 2.15 GAA) who will face off against Sergei Bobrovsky (3-2-3, .869 SV% / 3.87 GAA).
