Oilers clash with Capitals. Can they stop a goal drought from worsening?

The Oilers are mired in a goal drought as the Capitals come to town.

LINES

THREE THINGS TO LOOK FOR

  • The Oilers are now 2+ games without a goal scored. That’s bad. Something had to shake up, so Sam Gagner finally gets some time on a line with Patrick Russell and Markus Granlund. Is it enough to move the needle?
  • Connor McDavid has now gone three games without a point. That’s like 57 years in McDavid. Not sure if this is the game he pops off for another multiple point affair, but it wouldn’t be the strangest thing, either.
  • Mikko Koskinen puts his sparkling .934 SV% to the test against the NHL’s third most potent offence. Can he keep a perfect record after tonight?

Let’s. Go. Oilers.
