Morning, folks!
We’ve got a full slate of game day coverage for you so let’s hit the high notes and head out.
Connor McDavid’s off to his best start as an NHL player with three points in 8GP to tie for the league lead heading into last night’s action.
The Oilers are so far surviving without Adam Larsson, as everyone appears to be buying in to what Dave Tippett is preaching.
On James Neal and Milan Lucic’s respective starts.
It’s hard not to wonder whether this 3-0-0 start is real. But who cares, right?! I hope you brought your fuzzy green hats.
Might Tippett be playing Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl too much? Probably, but they’ve had an inconsistent start to the year with a few days between games, it will be important to watch moving forward as the schedule gets more condensed.
Riley Sheahan’s line might be the most competent bottom-half line the Oilers have had in some time.
So far James Neal, Zack Kassian and the rest of the wingers are doing all of the scoring. Not a bad problem to have for a team that came into the year with a dearth of talent on the flanks.
Get read up, and stay tuned, as we’ll have a more for tonight’s game as the day goes on.
