The Oilers have made a call up.
The #Oilers have recalled Brad Malone from the @Condors. The forward has scored 7 goals & 17 assists in 41 games with Bakersfield this season. pic.twitter.com/FyQuaamu7O

I’m never going to get my Tyler Benson call up by the looks of things.
The Oilers have called up Brad Malone from the Bakersfield Condors. I am not sure if there is an injury, a trade in the works, or just a need for extra bodies in practice or on nacho duty, but this is the result.
Interesting to see with Andrej Sekera nearing a conditioning assignment to Bakersfield. The Oilers are currently over the cap and will have to move some money out in order to make room for him, so we can expect some sort of roster moves over the coming days.
More on that from our own OriginalPouzar:
@PatrickOlsen21 Section 13.9 of CBA - with consent, LTIR player can go to AHL on conditioning sting for max of 3 games or 6 days to see if fit to play - will not have to be activated (will not count against the 23 man roster and will not lose LTIR cushion) - probably next Fri

Just updated for Malone. So they’re at $80.7M of annual cap with the current roster. They need to clear $1.2M to be at 23 with Sekera and Klefbom active

I don’t expect Brad Malone to get into too many games, typical of his last few call ups, but he might help out the fourth line if he does.
More as it comes out.
