Connor McDavid had himself a fine December. So fine in fact, that the NHL has bestowed upon him the honour of being named Third Star for the month of December. McDavid’s 24 points (8-16-24) in 13 games earned him enough accolades to be named third star.
Tampa Bay’s Nikita Kucherov was named first star after a 30 point month, while Calgary’s Johnny Gaudreau picked up second star honours after a December filled with 26 points.
NEW YEAR, SAME CONNOR
Connor McDavid and the rest of the Edmonton Oilers will face off against the Arizona Coyotes tonight at Gila River Arena. The Oilers are trying to get out of a six game losing streak, puck drop is at 7:30.
