Kailer Yamamoto will be in the lineup tonight for the Edmonton Oilers as they visit Vancouver to take on the Canucks.
Yamamoto last appeared with the Oilers on December 29th, a 7-4 loss to the San Jose Sharks. Yamamoto suffered an upper body injury that’s kept him from the lineup for the last seven games. He’ll be on a trio with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Milan Lucic.
CAVEMAN DEBUT
Recently claimed Colby Cave will make his Edmonton Oilers debut tonight. Cave was claimed yesterday from Boston. Cave is a left shot centre who has appeared in 20 games with the Bruins this season, he’s scored five points (1-4-5). He’s picked up 18 points (6-12-18) in 15 games with Providence in the AHL. He’ll start tonight on the third line between Jujhar Khaira and Jesse Puljujarvi.
In order to make room for Yamamoto and Cave, Alex Petrovic has been placed on IR. Joseph Gambardella has been assigned to Bakersfield.
