Good morning everyone, lets stat this off right.
First off, the Oilers lost 5-3 to the Jets last night. It was and ugly group of Defensemen and Mikko Koskinen sure doesn’t look worth his cap hit. On the plus side Kailer Yamamoto and Jesse Puljujarvi looked fantastic. The best was when they were playing together. The coaches might just read this blog. (NHL.com)
Here’s Todd McLellan talking about Kailer Yamamoto. I disagree with a lot of what Todd says and does, but he talks about Kailer the same way I do. He stops just short of admitting that he wanted him on the team last year. Yamamoto is going to be one of the best players on the Oilers this year, and in a way where it’s not a knock on them.
"What we're seeing are some players that are beginning to separate themselves... Internal competition is important." Coach McLellan reflects on tonight's #Oilers pre-season performance in Winnipeg pic.twitter.com/wBLtqfp7p0

Lowetide offers some praise for the Bakersfield Condors situation. For too long the farm system has been a complete joke. That appears to be changing for the better. (The Athletic)
Finally, over on the Habs blog, Scott Malta points out that NHL revenge culture is a serious problem. Espeically after the ugly incident between Max Domi and Aaron Ekblad. (Habs Eyes on the Prize)
That’s all for now, enjoy your day.
