The Oilers have reassigned three players.
The #Oilers have assigned forward Kirill Maksimov to the @OHLIceDogs, goaltender Olivier Rodrigue to the @Voltigeurs_DRU & defenceman Dmitri Samorukov to the @Storm_City. Good luck this season, gents! pic.twitter.com/lbT1y0Fz8B

Kirill Maksimov with be going back to the Niagara Ice Dogs. A bit surprising given that he is one of the more important junior prospects. I guess he has too much to work on to get a preseason game. Best of luck to him this year.
Dmitri Samorukov will be going back to the Guelph Storm. He should get some top minutes there this year and come back better than ever next September.
And Goaltender Olivier Rodrigue will be sent back to the QMJHL’s Drummondville Voltigeurs. There’s only one net, and a lot of goalies right now. May as well send one down early. Bet you didn’t expect an Oiler Employee’s son to be the first cut!
Those are the only cuts today. I expect the next one to get deeper.
