Apparently the Dallas Stars are the front-runners in the Erik Karlsson sweepstakes. Personally I think it’s a load of garbage. Ottawa often uses the media to increase or decrease trade prices. I’ll be pretty surprised if Erik Karlsson ends up somewhere other than Colorado or Vegas. (TSN)

The Toronto Maple Leafs have traded Matt Martin to the New York Islanders. See, this is why I always say cap space is only a problem if you want it to be a problem.
