In news that should surprise nobody, the Oilers re-signed Kevin Lowe’s progeny Keegan to a 2-year extension this afternoon. Terms were not immediately released by the Oilers, but CapFriendly.com shows a two-way deal with a $675,000 (NHL) cap hit for the next two seasons.

In 52 games with the Condors last season, Lowe posted a respectable-ish 2-12-14 with a +14. The young rearguard featured in two games with the big club last season, with four career games at the highest level. Look for him to start the season in Bakersfield before finishing up his career as President of Hockey Operations or some other such executive role.
Lowe is mostly deployed as a shutdown guy from the left side and will have to improve significantly - or continue to be Kevin Lowe’s son - to get steady work with the Oilers in the near future. Time will tell.
Scouting Report
Kevin Lowe’s son.
Last Season
Was still Kevin Lowe’s son.
