Because the USA has legalized sports betting, the NHL is going to start releasing puck tracking technology. This is good. At first we’re going to get a lot of information that some bloggers will try and explain is important before it becomes apparent that it isn’t. In five years though, the uselessness will have been weeded out and we might get some cool useful stats out of it. Or... we’ll keep arguing about which stats matter and which don’t. (Sport Techie)
