Good morning everyone, I have some links.
Nefoundland has introduced its new ECHL team. The Growlers. They used a logo that I’m pretty sure is based off of Wilford Brimley. Diabeetus. (Sportsnet)
David Staples is talking about Darnell Nurse and overpaying him. I’m really going to be annoyed if it’s not a nice cheap bridge deal. (Edmonton Journal)
Dustin Nielson is looking at which wingers should be playing on Leon Draisaitl’s line this season. There’s a pretty obvious answer on the right side. (Oilers Nation)
Because the USA has legalized sports betting, the NHL is going to start releasing puck tracking technology. This is good. At first we’re going to get a lot of information that some bloggers will try and explain is important before it becomes apparent that it isn’t. In five years though, the uselessness will have been weeded out and we might get some cool useful stats out of it. Or... we’ll keep arguing about which stats matter and which don’t. (Sport Techie)
Finally, the Sharks have given Evander Kane a deal that makes Milan Lucic’s look only half as bad as it is. (Fear the Fin)
That’s all for now, enjoy your day.
