The Vegas Golden Knights have punched their tickets to the Stanley Cup Final.
Just like we all predicted way back in October, Vegas took Winnipeg to five games in the Western Conference Final and defeated them by 2-1 in the fifth game to go to the Finals. Everyone had predicted this moment, easily one of the most important moments in their storied franchise history.
BUT SERIOUSLY
Five games. The incredible run for the Golden Knights continues to the big dance with the big Cup. It’s Ryan Reaves with the game winner on a deflection, and it’s Marc-Andre Fleury with 31 saves for the Golden Knights. They’re going to take on the winner of Bolts-Caps in the Cup Final.
CAPS-BOLTS
After bursting out to a 2-0 series lead, the Capitals are going to need to take it to game seven. Tonight, they’ve got to worry about a game six, as the Lightning have won three straight to take a 3-2 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals. One more win for Tampa and it will seal the date between a team from Florida and a team from Nevada in the Cup Finals.
Just like everyone had predicted way back in October.
