The Vegas Golden Knights have tied their series with the Winnipeg Jets at one. Jonathan Marchessault’s two goal outburst, (including a lovely goal in the third period) helped to put the Knights back alongside Winnipeg in the Western Conference best of seven.

It would be Tomas Tatar who would score with seven minutes remaining in the first period. Marchessault would make it 2-0 Golden Knights just four minutes later. Vegas would carry a 2-0 lead until the seven minute mark of the third period when Winnipeg’s Kyle Connor would make it 2-1 on the power play.

A minute later, Vegas got their two goal lead back when Marchessault turned it on.

Marchessault’s second of the night puts the lid on Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. Marc-Andre Fleury makes 27 of 28 saves, and the Golden Knights and Jets are knotted at one game a piece.

Winnipeg will now travel to Vegas for games 3 and 4 of the series. Game 3 takes place on Wednesday night. Puck drop is 7 PM MT / 9 Eastern.

Washington looks to put a stranglehold on the Tampa Bay Lightning as they play Game 3 in Washington tonight. The Capitals have a 2-0 lead over the Lightning.
