NHL: Vancouver Canucks at Edmonton Oilers Perry Nelson-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning,

To start off, we get the 31 thoughts. (Sportsnet)

Jason Gregor examines the possibility that Ryan Nugent-Hopkins will be a full-time winger from here on. (Oilers Nation)

Tyler Johnson talks about how he caught his break in the NHL to become a fantastic player. Sure wish we had a small player from Spokane like that, especially if he was even better...(The Players’ Tribune)

Peter Chiarelli talked to the media yesterday. Naturally it didn’t go well. He said a few dumb things like all GMs do, he also said some things that were pretty reasonable. Regardless, he’s going to be destroyed by fans because he’s the one saying them and he’s lost the faith. I do wonder though, had the Oilers hired a new GM, and the new GM said those exact same things, would it be viewed differently? I think it would. (Copper&Blue)

That’s all for now.
