  • Yeeehaw, the Oilers made their second trade in as many days. Today, they sent Mark Letestu to the Predators for Pontus Aberg. Nashville then flipped Letestu to Columbus for a fourth round pick. We’ll take a closer look at Aberg in the coming days, but Letestu is the first forward I expected to see moved from the Oilers. With Pontus Aberg, the Oilers receive a quick Swedish forward who has 10 career points in 52 NHL games. Aberg is under contract for the 2018-19 NHL season with a tiny 650K cap hit.
  • Al Montoya gets the start tonight for the Oilers. It’s the Ryan Miller show for the Ducks.
  • Pat Maroon is a healthy scratch tonight. Maroon is expected to be dealt sometime before tomorrow’s 3 PM EST trade deadline. If this is his last game as an Oiler, I will miss his brother Phil jarring with fans on Twitter.
  • Ty Rattie is a gametime decision.
