Oilers look to go 2-for-2 on their roadtrip with a visit to Winnipeg. Can they do it without their best defenceman?
Oilers pregame at WPG:— Jack Michaels (@EdmontonJack) December 13, 2018
Russell & Jones, whose sticks showed up but not his hockey bag from last night’s flight, not on the ice.
Garrison / Wideman due for about nine minutes, eh?
THREE THINGS TO LOOK FOR
- Cam Talbot gets the nod tonight for the Oilers. He’s a winner in his last two games, though Mikko Koskinen has most recently been in net. Can Talbot keep the good times rolling?
- The Oilers are going to be without Oscar Klefbom for some time. The roster’s shaped up by moving Kevin Gravel up with Matt Benning (Kris Russell has also been placed on IR with an undisclosed injury), and the third pair shows with Jason Garrison and Chris Wideman. Can the Oilers score six goals to overcome their defence tonight?
- ONE TO WATCH: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins currently has 29 points (10-19-29) in 31 games. Can he pad those numbers?
If the Jets can’t get across the red line, things are going to be just fine tonight.
