• Laurent Brossoit has been waived in favour of the newly acquired Al Montoya. I don’t have issue with the trade, clearly the Oilers don’t have enough faith in Brossoit at this time and decided to pull the trigger for a backup netminder. If Brossoit makes it to Bakersfield, great. Things will get sticky if another team scoops up Brossoit. Cam Talbot has one more year after this one, and the Oilers would limit their options with one less netminder in the system.
