TWO THOUGHTS

  • It’s game 41, halfway through the season. The Oilers are cruising to the playoffs Can the Oiler score a goal? It’s been two full games since they’ve scored a goal. The Oilers are closing a four game homestand that’s been absolutely brutal. Scoring a goal sounds like a fairly meagre request. I’d like two or three, but one would be a good start.
  • Anton Slepyshev is in for Patrick Maroon. Maroon is serving the first of his two game suspension for his illegal hit on LA’s Drew Doughty on Tuesday night. Slepyshev is expected to start on line three with Leon Draisaitl. Can he shake things up?
