AH yes, the All-Star Game. You know, the thing you’re absolutely going to watch on the week before the Super Bowl. You’ll probably watch this more than the Pro Bowl though. Nobody really watches that.
Surprising absolutely no one, Connor McDavid will captain the 2018 Pacific Division All Stars. He is the lone Oiler named to the club, and clearly the best choice. You could make an argument for another Oiler, but like most things involving the All-Star Game, it probably wouldn’t be a long one. Remember when Rory Fitzpatrick almost got in via fan vote? That was crazy. Couple of years ago when John Scott was voted in and named MVP? Yeah, wacky stuff.
Along with McDavid, the Pacific Division will send two Golden Knights in James Neal and goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury. Head coach Gerard Gallant will also represent Vegas. A couple of Kings, a Flame, and Brock Boeser will be there too. Wanna see the entire list? It’s here.
The NHL All-Star Game will be held in Tampa this year. We will be covering it here to see if Connor McDavid scores a penalty shot with a drone. It has every possibility of turning into a drinking game by the four minute mark. No promises though.
