Good Morning, I hope everyone had a good weekend. We have a few links to serve up.

Mark Spector kicks things off by telling us that the Oilers are good and that Jesse Puljujarvi is not. I wasn’t planning on including this as I assumed the game against the Jets made this piece obsolete, but then I looked at the time it was written and the content inside. It was done after that game. (Sportsnet)

I know almost nothing about this Black Dog Pat individual but he serves up a piece about the developing players. It starts off as the most off-topic thing I have ever read before tying in analysis of the Oilers. It’s fantastic. (The Athletic)

Lowetide points us in the direction of how the Oilers first round of cuts have been doing since. It’s really nice being able to see this stuff all in one place and a simple list. I hope he continues this all season. (OilersNation)

May as well start speculating on Patrick Maroon and his contract situation. I’m not against just letting him walk after this year if he’s asking for too much but what I say doesn’t matter all that much. I hope Chiarelli doesn’t repeat the Kris Russell contract but who knows. (Edmonton Journal)

Sorry, I’m going to start plugging in this site’s articles here.

The Oilers made a round of cuts yesterday. No surprises but there are some players who had good camps. (Copper&Blue)

Jeff Chapman analyzes the race for the final RW position between Kailer Yamamoto and Jesse Puljujarvi. (Copper&Blue)

Did you notice that part of Jeff’s article where he mentions that preseason hockey is really hard to watch? I completely agree with that statement and that attitude lead to a major blunder on my end while writing a recap for a game I didn’t watch. Anyway, Oilers won 6-2 IN EDMONTON. (Copper&Blue)

That wraps up the links for the day. The Oilers will be playing the Carolina Hurricanes tonight and we should have full coverage here. Have a good day!
