I wasn’t planning on including this as I assumed the game against the Jets made this piece obsolete, but then I looked at the time it was written and the content inside. It was done after that game. May as well start speculating on Patrick Maroon and his contract situation. I’m not against just letting him walk after this year if he’s asking for too much but what I say doesn’t matter all that much. I hope Chiarelli doesn’t repeat the Kris Russell contract but who knows. (Edmonton Journal)

Did you notice that part of Jeff’s article where he mentions that preseason hockey is really hard to watch? I completely agree with that statement and that attitude lead to a major blunder on my end while writing a recap for a game I didn’t watch. Anyway, Oilers won 6-2 IN EDMONTON. (Copper&Blue)
