The Edmonton Oilers have assigned the following players to the Bakersfield Condors:
- Ryan Mantha
- Caleb Jones
- Joey Laleggia
- Grayson Downing
- Keegan Lowe (Must first clear waivers)
- Mitch Callahan (Must first clear waivers)
Nothing too surprising but you can see that the cuts are getting deeper. Caleb Jones showed he can play and should have a great developmental season in the AHL, Joey Laleggia was also a pleasant surprise in camp.
I had very little faith in Keegan Lowe due to this organization’s past nepotism issues. That being said, he was a pretty decent player in camp. He might be an AHL lifer in the end but at the moment, he’s in the conversation of an injury call-up.
There are 36 players left, Kailer Yamamoto and Jesse Puljujarvi are still there.
