Thursday Morning Hotlinks: Kassian is Pretty Good

NHL: Stanley Cup Playoffs-Anaheim Ducks at Edmonton Oilers Perry Nelson-USA TODAY Sports

Hotlinks are up, single-file lines, please.

Zack Kassian was really good in the playoffs. He scored a few goals and ran over a lot of the competition. Apparently he was also really good in the regular season but we didn’t notice because his goals kept being waived off. (Lowtide)

There are a lot of players who have yet to have their numbers retired. There’s a controversial one in this DownGoesBrown list. Controversial for Oilers fans anyway. (The Hockey News)

With Andrei Sekera out, Matt Benning will have every opportunity to crack the top four. Whether or not he excels remains to be seen. Sammi Silber has a take on the matter. (OilOnWhyte)

Yamamoto is looking pretty good at the World Junior Summer Showcase. This competition isn’t really worth putting much stock into but it fills the void for hockey starved fans. Available on cable or Alternative Means. (NHL.com)

I’m sure you’ve noticed by now, but just in case: HockeyAnalysis.com is down. This is a very, very bad thing for those of us who enjoy stats. Other sites — like puckiq.com — have similar information, but not near as much historical data. Personally I’m taking any #fancystats with a heaping pile of salt until another website has enough information to make a conclusion. Good luck all. (HockeyAnalysis)

That’s all for today.

In a related note, if you happen to come across good hockey articles on your daily browsing, I more than welcome DMs and Emails to help the content on here. Sometimes I miss things on my own.
