Happy Wednesday, have some links.
Bruins GM Don Sweeney says that David Pastrnak will not be traded. If my memory recalls correctly, he also said this about Dougie Hamilton. In the past the Bruins have said this about Phil Kessel, Tyler Seguin and Joe Thornton. Forgive me for still thinking he’ll be traded if Draisaitl gets a huge contract. (TSN)
How about a nice look at what Andrej Sekera brings to the table. I think we’re aware that he’s pretty valuable but maybe there’s more to it. (Lowetide)
Remember when Olympic hockey was cool because NHL players were there? Would you like to see some of the most memorable moments of the NHL-era Olympics? Of course you would. (The Hockey Writers)
The Oilers and Draisaitl would be foolish to part ways. Yeah, no kidding. Normally I wouldn’t bother inserting click-bait like this, but it’s August and there are some good points made. Just remember: there is no real risk of Leon Draisaitl not being back with the Oilers this season. (Sportsnet)
I almost forgot to plug in our own pieces. The top 25 Under 25 yesterday included #11 Kailer Yamamoto and #10 Anton Slepyshev. The other day I falsely reported that we would be doing one player per day for the top 10, for that I apologize, it will continue to be two per day until the Top-3. (Copper&Blue #11 and #10)
That wraps it up for the day. Let’s hear what you think.
