Tuesday Morning Hot Links: Past and Drai

Good morning, the links are fresh today.

The NHL has released its top-20 wingers list. There are a few odd placements and a very strange omission in Draisatil, I guess they still consider him a center. This is a video so if you’re pretending to work right now, turn down the volume. (NHL.com)

I’m only putting this link in because Kirill Maksimov is not in our remaining Top 25 Under 25. Staples seems to think he’s pretty good despite his draft position. (Edmonton Journal)

The Bruins and David Pastrnak are in a bad contract situation. Boston loves to trade young players for scraps and bash them on their way out of town so we’ll see how that plays out. It could be that Pastrnak and Draisaitl are playing a game of chicken on who will sign first. If Draisaitl gets 8+ Million, the probability of Pastrnak being traded rises. (Sportsnet)

Phil Kessel had his moment. He took the high road to show Steve Simmons how he spends his days. He put hot dogs in the Stanley Cup. I’m really glad we don’t have people writing hotdog articles about traded players... yet. (Bardown)

In the Top 25 Under 25 we have #12 Drake Caggiula and #13 Ethan Bear. Both great write-ups. We will have 2 more today — including one of mine — and then one each for the next 9 days. This is a series of which I very much enjoy being a part and I look forward to the end piece where the voting discrepancies get addressed. (Copper&Blue #12 and #13)

That’s all for today. Don’t forget to bring a towel.
