A RUSH AND A PUSH AND THE LAND IS OURS
After an emotionally charged 4-3 OT victory on Thursday, the Edmonton Oilers are one win away from advancing to the second round. A win tonight will schedule a meeting with Anaheim next week. A win tonight, and Edmonton will probably be up until next week.

What To Watch For From The Oilers
Which Oilers team will show up in San Jose? Will it be the one who got blown out by a touchdown on Tuesday? Or, will it be the one that outshot the Sharks by a 14-2 margin in overtime en route to a 4-3 overtime victory? The Oilers lead this series by a 3-2 margin with a chance to close it out tonight. I don’t think I have it in me for a game seven right now.
What To Watch For From The Sharks
From Fear The Fin
So we’ll find out if the Sharks have anything left in the tank when they return home after a not-so-promising performance in game five. Yes, the Sharks rallied from an early deficit to lead by as much as 3-1, but the Oilers controlled possession throughout the contest. Marc-Edouard Vlasic and Justin Braun were sieves, as was Logan Couture and San Jose never controlled the game.
The Oilers got stronger as the game progressed. If San Jose wants to tucker out at about the six minute mark of the first period, I’m game.
Final Thought
I had this team at about 85 points this season. They’re one win away from the second round of the playoffs. Do it tonight.
