Tomorrow is a big day for the Edmonton Oilers.

The club will have an opportunity to clinch a playoff berth for the first time in eleven years. A lot changes over eleven years, and it’s safe to say that fans have been ready for a playoff berth for about eleven of those eleven years.

Tomorrow, a win will send these Edmonton Oilers (and their fans) to the playoffs for the first time in over a decade. And if that happens tomorrow, look out.

  • QUEST FOR FIRST: The Rangers did Edmonton no favours last night as the Ducks took a 6-3 victory over those Rangers in Anaheim. I still can’t believe that the Oilers are within swiping distance of the Pacific Division lead this late in the season, so we’ll settle tied for second for now, I guess.
  • PERFECT 100 - The Oilers can finish with 100 points if they go 4-2-1 over their final seven games, which is more than anyone predicted in September. I’ll take it.
  • BONE BRUISE? Matthew Benning took a shot in the foot during Saturday’s 4-1 victory over the Avalanche. He’s listed as day-to-day on the injury report. Expect some of Eric ‘The Sledgehammer’ Gryba until Benning is ready to go, hopefully sooner than later.
  • WHAT TO WATCH: Colorado is in Calgary tonight. Do something, Avalanche.
