Forward Iiro Pakarinen has been sent to the Bakersfield Condors on a conditioning stint.

Pakarinen has yet to play in a regular season game this season.  A knee injury dating back to a preseason game against the Los Angeles Kings has kept him on the shelf.  Pakarinen will get some ice time in Bakersfield while the Oilers will be off for five days after tomorrow's game versus the Canadiens.

On defence, Jordan Oesterle has been called up after Matthew Benning was placed on injured reserve.  Benning was injured early on in Edmonton's 2-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes last night after colliding with Viktor Stalberg..  Benning has ten points (2-8-10) in 41 games this year.  Eric Gryba will likely be Benning's replacement tomorrow in Montréal.

The Oilers have also recalled defenceman Griffin Reinhart.   Reinhart has 11 points (5-6-11) in 29 games in the AHL.  If something happens to Jordan Oesterle, run.

Joining Benning on IR will be Jujhar Khaira.  Khaira has been out since January 12th after suffering a wrist injury. Khaira has appeared in three games with the Oilers this year, he scored his first career goal against Arizona.

Edmonton will face off against Montréal in a matinee event tomorrow before being off until Saturday.
