The Oilers put their two game winning streak on the line as they visit the Amalie Arena in Tampa Bay.

How To Tune In

5:30 PM MDT on Sportsnet West

What To Watch For From The Oilers

This is the second game on a six game road trip for the Oilers, and it will be important for the Oilers to establish the flow after a 3-1 win that saw the Oilers get handily outshot by the Blackhawks.  A win tonight gives the Oilers two points more than the Ducks with a game in hand.  Give it to me.

What To Watch For From The Lightning

From Raw Charge

"The inability to hold a multi-goal lead is suddenly an issue for Tampa.  Against Dallas and Colorado (two of the weaker teams in the West) the Lightning had a two-goal lead in both before allowing the opposing teams to tie it up in the final minutes of the third period.  Tampa split those games (both in overtime) seizing 3 points, but the blown game in Dallas still leaves a bad taste in my mouth."

I'm totally fine with the Lightning not getting a single goal lead too.

Final Thought

Lightning are desperate right now.  Five points out of the playoffs makes a hungry club, but it's difficult to think that they're in this position with a healthy Steven Stamkos.  If the Oilers set the pace early, I like their odds.
