TWO THOUGHTS
- Oscar Klefbom is back in the lineup after spending three games on IR with a wonky shoulder The Oilers will no doubt get a big boost with his return. The Oilers waived Eric Gryba in order to make room for Klefbom, a move that surprised me a little. Gryba is a Chiarelli product and when I saw it was actually Gryba (and not Auvitu) going down, I didn’t think I read it right. It was the right decision.
- Straight out of the third round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, it’s Jeff Glass! The 32 year old netminder is going to make his NHL debut for the Blackhawks tonight after 12 seasons of the AHL and the KHL (and a little bit of ECHL just ‘cause). Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford has been placed on IR, while Anton Forsberg yielded five in a loss to the Canucks last night. This is a moment that the Oilers must harness, it’s a game they’ve got to win if they’re going to get their four game homestand off right.
