Good Morning everyone, we’re half way through the week now. Links time.

The Oilers have traded Greg Chase to the Florida Panthers for future considerations. I think it’s reasonable to assume that the future considerations weren’t actually future related and more related to the fact that the Panthers farm team takes Mark Fayne on loan. If my speculation is correct, Keith Gretzky should get some credit for recognizing that the Condors shouldn’t be plugged with vets. Jeff has the details. (Copper&Blue)

The Penguins made a trade for Michael Leighton. Remember in the 2010 Stanley Cup Final when there were reports about how he had a second job? I have no idea how he’s maintained his career in hockey for this long. (NHL.com)

The Penguins then acquired Jamie Oleksiak for a conditional 4th round pick from the Stars. Remember, just because his sister is a star athlete and gives him name recognition, doesn’t mean he’s good. (Defending Big D)
