Defenceman Adam Larsson will be in the lineup tonight after missing the last eight games with a lower body injury. Larsson finds himself back in the lineup at a fairly critical juncture of the season. The Oilers begin a three game homestand with a visit from the San Jose Sharks tonight, and Larsson will be a welcome addition back to the lineup. Edmonton desperately needs to pick up some points in the Pacific, and a win over the Sharks would be an excellent place to start.
In order to make room for Larsson, the Oilers waived forward Anton Slepyshev. In fifteen games this year, Slepyshev has recorded three points and averaged just under twelve minutes of ice time per game.
The Oilers and Sharks face off tonight at 7 PM MST. Edmonton will look to string two wins together after their 3-2 road victory over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday. Join us for our Oilers game thread thirty minutes before puck drop.
