Good.
Oilers are hitting the road and their first test will be Chicago tomorrow night. While Leon Draisaitl and Drake Caggiula won’t be around for tomorrow’s matchup with the Blackhawks, there’s a chance one (or both) may be suited up for Saturday’s matinee with the Flyers.
Drake Caggiula’s been out with an ‘undisclosed injury’ since the first week of October. Leon Draisaitl has been battling an eye injury that was later determined to be a concussion after the Winnipeg loss a week and a half ago. The Oilers have been winless in their last four, and they’ll welcome both back into the lineup. The Oilers have filled the loss of Draisaitl and Caggiula with Brad Malone and Iiro Pakarinen, while Ryan Strome got a bump to the top six with the absence of Draisaitl.
Kailer Yamamoto has filled in admirably during Draisaitl’s time away, scoring his first career point (an assist) in an otherwise dreadful output in Saturday’s 6-1 loss to Calgary. Leon will be thrust back into the lineup (read: on the top line) at the absolute earliest possible moment, as the Oilers miss him like the desert misses the rain.
