There was stuff on Twitter and everything, all kinds of threats. [...] And people were saying they hope I get AIDs. All kinds of stupid stuff.
Here's example 634,887 of fans on Twitter taking things too far. After Connor McDavid broke his collar bone in a completely accidental play, Brandon Manning, the player who knocked McDavid down, received death threats. I've got to give Manning credit, he's a more understanding person that I would be, going on to say "Canadian fans are passionate, and I don't think it would be any different with Flyers fans if they saw that one of our guys went down like that. So it wasn't a big deal to me."
