Tonight's Storyline
Earlier this month the Oilers played the Sharks. In the final minutes of the game, with the Sharks clearly on their way to a victory, Darnell Nurse exacted a little revenge for what he felt was a dirty play by Roman Polak on Matt Hendricks earlier in the period. For his trouble Nurse was suspended three games.
Today, hours before the first game between these two team since the incident, the Sharks called up Michael Haley, who has 23 fights and 205 penalty minutes on his resume in 66 NHL games. Haley might play tonight, he might not, there's been nothing official yet. If he does play presumably it's to send a message to Nurse and the Oilers that the Sharks are willing to make themselves a worse team in the name of revenge. For my money, the better revenge would be kicking the living crap out of the Oilers and helping secure a better playoff spot, but what do I know, I obviously never played the game.
