Lauri Korpikoski Named to Team Finland for the World Cup of Hockey

Lauri Korpikoski will get some playing time in for his home country at the World Cup of Hockey before the next Oilers season kicks off.

When the puck drops on the World Cup of Hockey this fall in Toronto, Edmonton Oilers forward Lauri Korpikoski will be there representing Team Finland. Korpikoski, who is in his first season with the Oielrs and sixth season in the NHL, has represented Finland in international tournaments before including the Under 18 World Championship in 2004, the World Junior Championship in 2005 and 2006, when he won a bronze medal, the 2010 and 2013 World Championships, and the 2014 Olympics where he again won a bronze medal.
