Tonight's Storyline

It’s the Connor McDavid and Auston Matthews show tonight, folks. The last two first overall selections meeting for the first time. We knew before the season that McDavid was something special but Matthews has hit the ground running and his future looks to be every bit as bright as that of the Oilers’ captain. Over the course of their careers these two are going to face off many times, both in the NHL and internationally, but the first time is always special, and tonight is that night. If there is such a thing as a much watch game on November 1, this is probably it.
