The Oilers are now a league best 5-1-0.

It turns out that not only are the Oilers a tough team to beat indoors, they’re tough to beat outdoors as well. Goals from Mark Letestu and Darnell Nurse, scored within two minutes of each other, gave the Oilers the lead at the midway point of the second period, Zack Kassian would stretch the lead to three before the end of the period, and Cam Talbot would chip in 31 saves in a shutout effort as the Oilers knocked off the Jets by a score of 3-0 at the Heritage Classic.

And that’s about it for the write-up of this game. Not because we don’t like to write about wins, there are nights over the last few seasons where we would have done awful things for the chance to write about a win, but because none of us actually saw the game in it’s entirety thanks to the delayed start. PVR recording ended early, people had to go do other things before the game ended, and others just weren’t available.

And so you get this very short post game. Sorry about that, we’ll to do better next time. But because I like you so much, and don’t want you to be too disappointed, I’ll leave you with this.
