The Oilers are off to a 3-1-0 start to the season but have yet to play any of the NHL's top tier teams. That changes tonight.

Tonight's Storyline

Everything tonight is about the St. Louis Blues. The big story for tonight's game is either Nail Yakupov returning to Edmonton (that makes it sound like he's been gone for a year but it hasn't even been two weeks) to face the team that selected him first overall in 2012 and then traded him for peanuts four years later, or that this is the Oilers' first real test of the season, unless you consider the Flames, Sabres, or Hurricanes to be among the NHL's elite.

Line Combinations

The lone change to the lineup that beat the Hurricanes on Tuesday night will be on the Oilers' third pairing where Eric Gryba will replace the injured Mark Fayne. I thought Cam Talbot might get the night off after his wife gave birth to twins yesterday but instead he will be making his fifth start of the season.
