Oilers vs Hurricanes: Projected Lines

A couple of tweaks to the Oilers lineup as they look to get back in the win column.

After Sunday night’s lackluster performance Todd McLellan and his staff cancelled a scheduled day off, or maybe they just moved it, and now they’ve made a couple of changes to the lineup heading into tonight’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Up front it’ll be Anton Slepyshev seeing his first action since opening night. He’ll be filling the spot on the right side of the Oilers’ third line where Jesse Puljäjarvi had been playing; Puljujärvi will get the night off. As will Eric Gryba who will sit out in favour of Mark Fayne who will be playing in his first game of the season tonight.

From the Oilers Twitter account these are the line combinations projected for tonight’s game:

Forward Lines
Milan Lucic - Connor McDavid - Jordan Eberle
Benoit Pouliot - Ryan Nugent-Hopkins - Zack Kassian
Patrick Maroon - Leon Draisaitl - Anton Slepyshev
Tyler Pitlick - Mark Letestu - Anton Lander

Defence Pairs
Oscar Klefbom - Adam Larsson
Andrej Sekera - Kris Russell
Darnell Nurse - Mark Fayne

Goalies
Cam Talbot
Laurent Brossoit
