Oilers PA Announcer Set To Retire

Hired by the Oilers in 1981, Lewis has called it all. Five Stanley Cup Championship seasons, four Cup wins on home ice, goals from hockey legends such as Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier and Glenn Anderson, and special events such as the 1981 and 1984 Canada Cups and the 1989 NHL All-Star game.

When the Oilers take to the ice in October of 2016 not only will they do so in a new building but they will do so with a new public address announcer as well. Announced this afternoon, Mark Lewis, who has held the job since 1981 is retiring. The new building will take some getting used to, this might take even longer.
