The Hurricanes sit a comfortable seven points ahead of the Oilers in the standings, but are very much suffering the same fate in the 2014-2015 season. A win tonight for the copper and blue would tie the team with Phoenix and put them that much further from McEichel.
How to Tune in
The game gets going at 1:00 PM MT on Sportsnet West.
What to Watch for From the Oilers
The Oilers peppered the Blackhawks with 47 shots on Friday night, but still only managed one goal. Figures. That said, Nail Yakupov and Derek Roy combined for that lone goal and looked electric all night. Look for them to drive the play against a Hurricanes team that allowed six goals last time these two teams met.

What to Watch for From the Hurricanes
From the fine folks over at Canes Country:
Both teams practiced yesterday at RCI. Bill Peters (catch his post-practice audio here) is splitting up the Staals; Eric will skate on a line with the Swedes, centered by Victor Rask and with Elias Lindholm on the other wing, and Jordan will center a line with Nathan Gerbe and Andrej Nestrasil. Ryan Murphy will return on defense after being activated from IR on Friday. Alberta native Cam Ward will get the start in net.
Final Thought
Benoit Pouliot was not on the ice for the warm up, which is a real problem for the Oilers' thinning wing corps. It looks as though he'll miss today's game. More light should be shed on the situation during the broadcast today.
No Benoit Pouliot in warm up as @EdmontonOilers get set for Carolina this afternoon in Raleigh.
