Game Thread: Oilers at Avalanche

Six straight victories are just a memory after two consecutive losses. The Oilers look to get back on track with a visit to Denver.

Varlamov has 11 of Colorado's 16 wins so far this year.

The Oilers will get some help back in the lineup tonight with the return of Benoit Pouliot.

Pouliot had been out of the lineup for eight games with a lower body injury.  Pouliot (5-7-12 in 24 GP) will be a welcome addition to the line with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Jordan Eberle.

The Oilers will start Anders Nilsson in net.  Nilsson (10-8-1, .914 SV% / 2.67 GAA) will square off against Colorado's Semyon Varlamov (11-8-1, .917 SV% / 2.54 GAA).

A victory will push Edmonton to 32 points, which will keep them within striking distance of third place in the Pacific.
