On Tuesday night two streaks came to an end: Patrick Kane's 26 game point streak and the Oilers' six game winning streak. Obviously a 26 game point streak is impressive, but as a fan of the Oilers, and someone who's watched the last decade more closely than I care to admit, the Oilers managing to win six straight might be more impressive. Tonight Kane and the Blackhawks host the Oilers with both looking to start a new streak.
Tonight the Oilers will go back to Cam Talbot in net, the man who was almost solely responsible for the Oilers' win on Monday night in Boston. With Nilsson having struggled in his last three starts, Talbot is probably just a start or two from reclaiming the number one job. Or he could implode tonight and we'll be right back to square one. On the road in Chicago I'm not sure which is more likely.
