Edmonton has placed Matt Hendricks on injured reserve after blocking a shot in Saturday's 5-2 victory over the Calgary Flames. Recently promoted to first line duties alongside Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Taylor Hall, the injury kept Hendricks out of Sunday's game against Vancouver in favour of Anton Slepyshev. No real word has been given on a timetable for Hendricks, though it's a fair bet he'll be out more than a game or two if he's on IR.
IT'S (ANDREW) MILLER TIME
Andrew Miller had a cup of coffee with the big club late in the season last year. In nine games, Miller put up six points (1-5-6), including a three point effort against Colorado late in March. Miller also had the distinction of scoring his first career NHL goal on a penalty shot, which is a pretty good conversation starter. With the Condors, Miller has three points (1-2-3) in four games this season.
Miller can play centre & wing--had 6 points in 9 games down the stretch last year. Wouldn't surprise me if he gets look at RW w/Hall & RNH.

Boy oh boy, I miss Jordan Eberle something fierce.
